Follow the Butterfly~♥
Tessa, Luke, and I went to the Montréal Botanical Garden to attend the "Butterflies Go Free" exhibit yesterday (Tuesday, March 13th, 2012) as it was the only day that all three of us could meet up exclamation1

Essentially, two of the greenhouses are filled with butterflies and will be released late next month where they will be released outside into the gardens clover

This is the first greenhouse that's part of the butterfly/moth exhibit 4leafclover

There are the random flowers that I found pretty as we walked along the greenhouse flower

This is the second greenhouse that contained a much larger variety of colorful butterflies leaf

Luke got a butterfly on his shoulder AND another one on the heel of his boot! I also had a butterfly in the palm of my hand which was the blue morpho in the palm of my hand, but it fluttered away before I could take a picture heartbreak

We decided to also visit the gardens and see what it looks like in the wintertime, and we all unanimously agreed that it also had a beauty to it as well, even in the wintertime. It was cloudy that day so it gave off an even more serene air around it sleepy

A random moment of Tessa taking a picture of me taking a picture of her... What? Yeah, you read that right ^_^;;

It was really tranquil and quiet, aside from Tessa and I making weird noises as we walked in the squishy path since we both were wearing running shoes. Luke was the wisest out of the three of us since he wore boots. We all laugh when we read the sign because it was already too late !!

Afterwards, the three of us went to the playground located near the Insectarium arrowup

Another random moment of Tessa taking a picture of me taking a picture of her... Weirdos that we are sparkles

When Tessa and I were waiting for Luke to show up to meet up with the both of us, we went to the boutique and bought stuff. I only bought seven butterfly shaped candies, whereas everything else was bought by Tessa. The next few images convey a story that the two of us thought up whilst we waited. Let's just say, the elderly couple watching us were laughing. I shall let your imagination run with the following images:

I love how the Olympic Stadium has such a mysterious air around it because of the fog heart1

Aside from the crunching of the snow as we walked, we could also distinctively hear some squirrels munching on a nut!

Yeah, I agree, they're kind of scary when you look them up close, but they're pretty when they're fluttering about :3

You know, I never liked butterflies that much, but the photos that you took were really pretty!! Especially the blue ones <3

They were the most difficult to take, my friend and I decided to do a contest to get a picture of the morpho when their wings were opened. Morpho's wings are brown (because they're closed) when they're resting...

Let's just say we got really into the contest, once we had finished painstakingly getting the photos, it appeared that many of the morphos decided to mock us and rest with their wings OPENED, like it is in those last few pictures.

Oh WOW! QAQ its all so beautiful!
We don't get snow here in SF. =/ Hail is the closest thing to snow here lol.
We do have a huge flower conservatory though :D
I'm rather scared of bugs... so I wouldn't walk into the butterfly conservatory :p
I love how the pagoda(?) is there in the midst of the snow ♥

Hail is not pretty when you don't have an umbrella, and I speak from experience from being nearly pelted to death by it once.

A friend of mine went to SF during the break and apparently she went to a butterfly exhibit as well that was down there. It apparently was something like a greenhouse with a forest inside that had birds and butterflies in it :3

I'm rather etchy about bugs as well and prefer them to be at a difference.

I'm lucky that I was able to get this pictures taken when I did! It was +20C these past few days, so all the snow has effectively melted away~

I never go outside when it is hailing, but it sounds brutal from your description xD
(yet... it sounds appealing and fun for some odd reason... I'll add that to my list of "Things I need to do" :Db)

Yeap yeap yeap! Its the conservatory of flowers which links to a butterfly conservatory. I went in there three times in one year. O_O It was so humid. I don't think I'll go there again. But it was fun taking pictures and I'm sure that my cousins enjoyed torturing me with butterflies.

When I'm at home and i see any type of bug, I scream my head off first, then I go and get my dad to kill it for me. I'm such a nuisance xD

OAO;;;;; (mental conversion: 20C = 68F) That's SF's typical everyday weather in the summer and spring time :D When it's winter here, its sunny. We have like 12 seasons. xD

OH YEAH! I just remembered: My family went to Canada a couple of times :D I remember them bringing back boxes of 老婆餅 :DDDD I forgot where in Canada they went though. I think there was a chinatown where they went.

Anyways, I hope you stay warm! ♥
