Walking in a Winter Wonderland
I had way too much time on my hands and had to idle seven hours away on campus in order to attend an additional screening for my professor...

So I walked around the fifth floor in the McLennan library at McGill University to take some pictures because I was texting Hope and she wanted to see the snow (since she doesn't get snow) sparkles

This is the image you're greeted with upon entering the main entrance of McGill University hearts

Last week was our awesome reading break, and I was in nothing more than a light jacket and in running shoes...

Then Friday came with 20 centimetres of snow and there was another amount of snowfall today which amounted to 15 centimetres of it...

It's only pretty and peaceful when you don't have to walk and trudge up the hill to get to class!

*sigh* oh Montreal the crazy weather you have T.T my friend came back from NY (with +10 weather) on the day the snow started again she has been miserable ever since >.< hopefully we'll have a real spring soon OTL

Not only her, but I would have been just as equally, if not more, miserable than her.

She was in spring mode and in thinner clothing, then BAM! Heavy winter jacket and everything.

I had a friend who came back from San Francisco and she's also miserable with our weather.

wow!! nice pictures!:D

too bad, the country I'm currently living doesn't have any snow:)) I really wanted to experience it! hahah XD

but, isn't it hard to walk? O.O
corlee1289: Dear Snow [2010.10.01] (MS) Arashicorlee1289 on March 2nd, 2012 12:24 am (UTC)
Snow if really difficult to walk through, but it's even worse when there's black ice underneath all the snow...

The snow covers the ice, so you have to walk really carefully, otherwise you'll slip and fall on your butt... And it hurts!
yamapi_luveryamapi_luver on March 2nd, 2012 02:11 am (UTC)
snow is a nightmare to walk through and since it sticks to your boots the more you're out in it the harder it is to walk T.T it is pretty to look at tho from the safety of a warm apartment XD

As much I love Montreal I wish it wasn't snowing in march. Seriously I want spring to come already :)
corlee1289: Dear Snow [2010.10.01] (MS) Panningcorlee1289 on March 2nd, 2012 12:26 am (UTC)
YES! I agree!!

And to think that we were completely snow free last week with most of the snow having melted away...

Then BAM! Here's 30+ centimetres of accumulated snow for you!

I was in a light spring jacket and in running shoes last week, now I'm forced back into my winter jacket and boots >.
Monicanijiiro6 on March 2nd, 2012 12:36 am (UTC)
Me too! I totally hate it! I mean I was fine until we recieved the snow over the weekend! I mean seriously I thought it was all just going to melt and that it wasn't going to snow anymore... Boy was I wrong!

We usually get that one last stubborn snowfall in April as well (I remember last year it snowed on the last week of April)

But to winter, any time in March is fair game to make us throw our backs out by shovelling.

NIce Picturs.
Crazy ass weather. It figures it got a bit chilly though. It's time for the Fur Rondey Fair and the start of all Iditarod Race. So you know...Finally a reason to go outside, the weather has to chill down. *sigh*

BTW The city snow fall record is around 132inches. Today they said we've had a little over 119inches. It sucks, since this is like 40% more snow we've had than the last past 5 years or something. Te city just wasn't ready. I"m wishing mailing was cheep. I'd send people snow.

I do love living here because we get to experience all the seasons, but it does get a bit taxing when you have to walk outside and the wind is blowing the snow everywhere~

So beautiful hearts I've never seen real snow before heartbreak

Then in that case, I don't know if you'll be able to handle the cold weather we have here in order to sustain the snow from melting.

People who usually live in the warmer areas are already saying it's cold in our autumn, I don't know how they'll fare in our winter ^^;;

Snow is a pretty thing if you're gazing to look at it outside and don't want to trudge/shovel through it.

Aww, pretty pictures of snow scenes!!
It's been 3 years since I moved back to Taiwan from Missouri, and I actually miss snow quite a bit, lol. People here in Taiwan complained about how cold the winter has been this year, but I was like, "psshh, this is cold for you!?" XD
corlee1289: Arashi Training Camp Ohmiyacorlee1289 on March 3rd, 2012 03:23 am (UTC)

YES! I do that as well when my friends who visit from warmer areas are complaining about the fall, then I'm usually snickering saying "You haven't felt anything yet, wait until it's officially winter and you'll stop complaining".

Usually when Canadians complain about the cold, IT'S COLD.

Snow! I want snow TT-TT
I've been wearing shorts for the past few weeks and probably will until around November
(Texas rarely gets snow... maybe a few days a year if we're lucky. Then it's more of ice than snow...)
corlee1289: Doctor Who - TARDIScorlee1289 on March 5th, 2012 05:32 am (UTC)
I love snow, I just don't like having to trudge through it all in order to get to class or have to shovel through it all ^^;;

Yes, I remember you telling me that it rarely, if ever, snow down there.
