First Outing of 2011
I was able to drag Tessa and Luke with me to attend Le Grands Salons Marions-Nous which is Canada's largest bridal exhibition yesterday on Saturday (January 8th, 2011) hearts

IT WAS SO PRETTY AND THE CAKES THAT WERE PRESENTED WERE GORGEOUS~! I was walking around dragging those two introverts around to see the booths and being uber happy about it by flailing about because of the prettyness arrowup

There are a lot more photos that I took of some more of the decorated cakes, but at the rate that I'm going at this post will be entirely composed of cake and none of the wedding gowns that I took pictures of sparkles

This picture is of a lady who's IN the table and it's so cool~! She was really nice and let me take some pictures of her while doing different poses each time X3 What she would do is talk to some people then walk towards them and then they'd freak out only just realizing that she was in the table all along~! It makes sense why people wouldn't register her being in the table since many of the people who were representatives were wearing bridal gowns gem

Then I took a whole bunch of pictures during the fashion show which presented bridal dresses as well as tuxedos for men. I took more pictures of the bridal gowns than the tuxedos since they all looked the same to me with the colors being different *bricked* However, I do have one pictures of the male models wearing tuxedos that I liked and approved of <3

After the fashion show ended there were a lot more people that were at the exhibition and the three of us deemed it was best to leave the convention since it was getting overcrowded. So we went exploring to get food and I bought a crepe that I shared with the other two and they bought slush cake

I'm one of those weirdos who always like to eat my sweets first before my meals as I find that if you were to eat your sugar filled desserts at the end of a meal, you're more likely to develop cavities because the sugar's in the molars of your teeth. But if you eat afterward, no more sugar~! cat

Luke had the fried beef udon noodles and Tessa has soup udon noodles which I think is boring since they always eat "safe" foods. I blame Arashi for my open mindedness to try out new foods. If it wasn't for Arashi no Shukudai-kun, I would probably never try new foods rice

I had the Korean food called Bibimbap where you have a whole bunch of ingredients topped on top of rice. You're supposed to pour the two sauces in the bowl and then mix/stir all the ingredients together thoroughly before you eat it. I've been wanting to eat it for a while know because of the influence from Korean dramas and I found a recipe here heart1

IT WAS REALLY GOOD~! hearts I want to eventually make it at home one day, but now that the school semester has commenced, I won't be able to until next weekend since I have a quiz on Monday and a test on Wednesday to study for...

They're all so cute but the one I love the most is the one with little pink flowers one the side ^^ It's so cute ^^
There are so many gowns and they're so gorgeous. I think I want to try Bibimbap too =) You're right after I watch, AnS I'm more open to new things for eating XD

I know!! I also love the Sakura one very much~! I don't need a crazy fancy cake, but one that's simple and elegant

It's so weird how Arashi influences us so much with food ne?!

My three younger brothers were also very picky with food, but after seeing the things that they ate on AnS (like the dancing live octopus), they're more adventurous with their foods.

They've adopted the idea that they can decide to like or not like it as long as they've tried it. They think that since Arashi has eaten such weird foods and are still alive, they might as well try it <3
dilarashi: ohno satoshi vs arashidilarashi on January 10th, 2011 08:30 am (UTC)
well that dancing live octopus is really extreme. I couldn't even watch it properly =D

The theory is logical though, if even they haven't died yet because of the food they eat-especially riida, I mean he ate some 11 years old rotten things, he eats everything - we won't too XD

Pretty cake!! *O* I don't know which one i like best, since each of them looks nice.
That woman who looks like Marylin Monroe, she can walk with the table 'attach' to her? i mean, she's inside the table all day and all that stuffs are on the table. interesting.

Yesh~! I thought the same exact thing when I saw her

She's in that table walking about with the things around her on the table which I thought was really interesting <33

The cakes are gorgeous! I want the one on the last (sakura cake) pic in the back, with purple flowers <3 <3 <3 and the dresses O_O
Bibimbap...I'm more the Bulgogi type ;) every other week I try to cook one of the dishes they showed on AnS...:D and my friends act as guinea pigs :D
corlee1289: Kaibutsu-kun Jun Elf Wink *dies*corlee1289 on January 10th, 2011 04:08 am (UTC)
Oooh~! I don't think I've ever had Bulgogi before!! *wants to try*

I've gone to a restaurant where you cooked the raw meat (beef, chicken, octopus) over that grill thing in a Korean restaurant that I went to Toronto (http://pics.livejournal.com/corlee1289/pic/0004qwe1)

I'm so jealous of your friends!! I wanna be a guinea pig!! My own friends are boring and are not adventurous of trying out new foods.

Usually I try to make Japanese food when I can spare the time ^^;; I've made okonomiyaki, sushi, and some other things... But I really want to make takoyaki... But it's proving to be difficult since I don't have the grill/machine to make it TT^TT
NatsuRinnatsurin on January 9th, 2011 04:31 pm (UTC)

They're made with fondant which is something like crazy sugary sweet sugar!

They're actually edible to eat since it's made with sugar X3

But I think it would be difficult to eat the pretty cakes...
familytablesfamilytables on January 10th, 2011 01:06 am (UTC)
Makes me wish we had planned ahead for a wedding a bit and got a cake. Oh well.

I so get you on the sweets before meal. Also you end up eating less sweets, since you want room for you meal....Well that's what my doctor told me, but I'm a pit, so it doesn't matter.

I don't get why people get shocked about the lady in a table thing. It's been around since forever. I guess it's more of the not expecting it.
corlee1289: Aiba's too sexy for his hat ♥corlee1289 on January 10th, 2011 04:11 am (UTC)

It's not the factor that I end up eating less sweets to make room for my meal, but more so that I don't have something sweet lingering in my mouth (which I really don't like).

So I always end up eating my sweets first before I eat my meal <3

You're less likely to get cavities that way~!

corlee1289: Cakes at Le Grands Salons Marions-Nous [corlee1289 on January 10th, 2011 03:07 am (UTC)
Yes they can~!

They're made with this crazy sugary thing! I know since one of my friend's in pastry school and she was telling me all about it <3

I also love the Sakura one as well X3 It's simple and elegant <33
Mayumi: Little Dog Ninopatmayumi on January 11th, 2011 12:44 pm (UTC)
Korean food! *_________*
There are no korean restaurants in my city. T____T
I love the Bulgogi. =9

The cakes are amazing! But it must be very expensive, no? =/

I'm hungry. xD
corlee1289corlee1289 on January 12th, 2011 12:08 am (UTC)
I was afraid to ask, but from what I've heard from my friend who's in pastry school...

They're rather expensive due to the intricate details that are used on the cake
