Streets near McGill University flooded [2011.09.08]
That's hysterically funny.

We're the number one university in Canada and ranked 17th world wide... And this... A flooding...

I'm only sad that I wasn't able to bear witness to see the water gushing down the street like a torrental river and have an Indiana Jones moment trying to outrun the water as it came crashing down.

Though mostly if I had been there, I'd have a WTF?! face look on and thinking "OMG! HOW DO I CROSS THIS?! I CAN'T CROSS THIS BECAUSE IT'S 30 CENTIMETERS DEEP!!"

Fortunately (or unfortunately) for me, at the time when the water main broke at 5:45PM, I was happily nestled at work high up on the seventh floor away from all the chaos :3

Some classes in the Wilson Hall were relocated today to another area due to the building being flooded. Once again, I wasn't affected as I don't have class on Fridays and work on Fridays in a building that's five blocks away from the flooding~

I'm hoping, by Monday, McTavish street will be fine again as I still need to purchase some books... And all the university school books and course packs are located in the BASEMENT of the bookstore... So I hope the books haven't been affected by this...

Additional information can be found HERE as well as some more pictures of the flooding that occured at the university.

Oh wow! That's crazy! I hope the books aren't affected too!

But this is too funny: "I'm only sad that I wasn't able to bear witness to see the water gushing down the street like a torrental river and have an Indiana Jones moment trying to outrun the water as it came crashing down."

I would've been to upset to think of something like that ^_^

HAHAHAAA~

In the face of danger and weirdness... This is what my attitude is like...

A weird and optimistic outlook :3

*inserts Indiana Jones music here for dramatic effect*

There's this street here, that always flooded (the worst could be ...... maybe more than 50cm deep) when rain comes. The water level in the sea rises, n added with bad-not working sewer/waterways. Result : ......occasional flood. Hhhhhhhhhhhhh
Always be an Indiana Jones when I needed to go there (hijakced a container truck n stood in its roof XDD)
