MY GLASSES!!
MY GLASSES!!

THEY DIED ON ME!!

NOOOOOOOO!!

Well, they didn't really die on me... But the nose pad (the thing that rests on the bridge of your nose) broke off...

Therefore they died on me since my vision is unbalanced...

Damnit... I don't wanna spend money for a new pair of glasses...

*sighs sadly* I'll see if I can make an appointment tomorrow...

On a random note, I'm almost finished writing all my Christmas cards~! I only have a few left to write and I still have more cards if someone still wants them hearts

I think the nose pad can be repair. I once broke one of the nose pad and they change another pair for me :)

Really?

But that would mean that I would have to go back to the place where I initially purchased it ne?

Dad was saying that since they broke off, I might as well get a new pair and get my eyes checked again since it's been two years that I've had these glasses.

*sighs*

2 years is a long time, you should go and get your eyes checked. But nose pad and even eyeglasses are not as expensive as a new pair of glasses :)

Fyuuu~

*nods*

Apparently we're supposed to get our eyes checked once every two years and children being once a year. Hence why dad said that I might as well get another pair since I'll be getting my eyes checked and that the prescription may have changed by now.

*needs to find an optometrist that is part of my university's insurance plan so I get maximum coverage*

Haha, I've never wear a pair of glasses for more than half a year before because I always break them o___O I don't know why but sometimes, I just clean my eyeglasses and... crack TT^TT

O______o;;

Do you have super human strength?! *bricked*

Not longer than half a year? But on the bright side, you've chosen different frames each time you've got them?

I'll probably choose a different frame color and design since I might end up getting a new pair.

I really don't know why. Sometimes one pair can survive for one year but can't be longer. If it's not me, then it would be someone else. Like my sister accidentally crushed into me and my glasses broke into 2 pieces o___O
My mom always yell at me because sometimes we couldn't go and get a new pair immediately. Everyone is pretty busy, and I can't go alone :P I can't do anything right without my glasses.

But you wear your glasses for 2 years so it is good to get a new pair XD

The nose padcan be fixed my dear! Just go to the optometrist and get it fixed :) you probably still have to pay but not as high as getting a new glasses :D

Yumi-chan said that same thing, but I might end up needing to get a new pair anyways since I need to get my eyes check.

Since I've had those glasses for two years already, the prescription may have changed since then *sighs*

HAHAHAAA~!

Yaay for you~!

My glasses are rather old and worn out, so I might end up changing them and getting another pair with no nose pads (DID YOU KNOW THAT THEY EXISTED?! I DIDN'T!!)
Arisaarisa_draconis on November 22nd, 2010 04:05 am (UTC)
Yes~ I do know :P

I am blind without my glasses (/contacts) as well!

If you do decide to get a new pair of glasses, I recommend a pair without the nose-pad part thingies.
My last two pairs have not had them and I like them so much better :)

THERE ARE GLASSES THAT DON'T HAVE THEM?!

O____o;; *big shock* I've always had glasses that did have them...

I'll make a note to get ones without them... *honestly didn't know*

I'm also completely blind without my glasses *high fives*
tokyoloverstokyolovers on November 22nd, 2010 04:07 am (UTC)
Hehe, yes.
They do, in fact, exist :)

i.e. this is what I currently have.

My friends and I refer to them as "hipster glasses"
corlee1289: HnA M5 SP 2 [2010.08.26] Junmiya rape 01corlee1289 on November 22nd, 2010 04:29 am (UTC)
HAHAHAHAAAA~!

Indeed, I would call them "hipster glasses" as well X3

But how do they rest on the bridge of your nose then if you don't have the nose pads?
tokyoloverstokyolovers on November 22nd, 2010 04:53 am (UTC)
There are two little parts on the frame that are shaped like the pads,
and they poke out and rest on your nose :)

The reason I picked ended up picking these kind is because the nose pads on my
last, last pair of glasses kept coming off.

Get yourself a pair like these, you will love yourself for it!

I hate wearing glasses but it can't be helped... im blind without them as well. Geese, the trouble it cost to get a new pair of glasses is a pain. Not to mention expensive..
mikivanalenmikivanalen on November 22nd, 2010 12:40 pm (UTC)
It's better to get your eyes checked first. If not much has changed, you can always have it repaired (since the pads are not that expensive really).

Maybe its your glasses' way of saying you need a new pair. You know, to catch up with new innovations or designs of glasses :))
showjuro: touch my heartshowjuro on November 23rd, 2010 07:33 am (UTC)
Aww... I think worse things happened to my glasses before when I was a kid. One time, I used to only use one of the handles instead of two to remove my glasses and so as you would guess, that handle broke off one day. Then the second time after that, I used the middle bridge to remove my glasses and then one day the middle bridge broke into half XDDD
